We create a number of donor newsletters for our food bank clients at the agency I work with. These are filled with news and noteworthy items  clients wish to share with their donor base, to help keep them engaged and maintain donor relations.
During review rounds, this client had some story changes. Specifically, requests to move a couple stories and include a new one with new images. 
The art director was out during this time, so I dropped in the new images, made other design edits as requested, and maintained the professional appearance of the new layout. No notes from the art director once returned, and the client was happy with outcome as well.
